On a scarlet shield-shaped embroidered item with a semi-circular base, 2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in height and 1 7/8 inches (4.76 cm) in width overall and edged with a yellow border 1/8 inch (.32 cm), displaying an inner yellow border 1/4 inch (.64 cm) with four notches removed from sides of inner border 1/8 inch (.32 cm) each. The beret flash was approved on 30 April 2002.
Background Trimming
On a scarlet, oval-shaped embroidered item edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) yellow border, 1 3/8 inches (3.49 cm) in height and 2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) in width, displaying a yellow inner border 1/4 inches (.64 cm) with four notches removed from sides of inner border 1/16 inch (.16 cm) each. The background trimming was approved on 30 April 2002.
